Claims Administrator

TCI is looking for a Claims Administrator for our commercial truck fleet!
This position will provide support to the Claims staff as the Claims Manager sees fit. This position involves professional close working relationships with all TCI departments/team members on all levels, including but not limited to administrative staff, managers, supervisors, drivers, dispatchers, dock workers, mechanics, customers, and vendors.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Sets up and enters new claims into the claims management system.
- Thoroughly documenting investigations, evaluations, recommendations, action plans, and resolving commercial auto liability, worker's compensation, and transportation claims.
- Ensuring the continuous settlement of claims in alignment with industry best practices and adherence to all state and federal regulations.
- Demonstrating exceptional organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and proficiency in analytical thinking, writing, negotiation, and follow-up.
- Settles claims promptly and equitably.
- Processes mail; handles filing, faxing, digital filing/imaging, and photocopying.
- Works directly with TPA and claimants to properly document\ each claim.
- Review demands and provide requested information to insurance carriers.
- Answers and initiates telephone calls, sets up medical appointments, and may provide customer service as required.
- Manage workers compensation claims from initial report to resolution, including filing claims, gathering documentation, and coordinating with insurance carriers and medical providers.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
- Provide guidance and direction to TPA’s on complex claim handling, strategy or negotiation and resolution.

- Outstanding organizational skills, including the maintenance of a robust diary system
- Experience in Workers Compensation, Freight, Subrogation, commercial auto, property damage and transportation claims handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with a Captive and TPA is advantageous.
- Experience managing clams for a transportation company preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and retain information specific to the business domain
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and work well in fast paced environment.
- College Degree preferred (high school diploma is required).
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in claims.

Based on experience - Starting at $25/hr plus incentives
