Operations Supervisor
TCI is now hiring an Operations Supervisor for our Thomasville, GA location.
Position Overview
This position will report to Transportation Manager and is responsible for specific tasks but not limited to a specific area/region and must have the flexibility to assist with other accounts as needed. This position involves professional close working relationships with all TCI team departments/team members on all levels. This position is subject to calls/emails when off duty to respond to emergencies and requires flexibility with occasional holiday work when needed.
Pay:
- Base Salary $65,000 annually
- Target Incentive Amount: $4,000 annually
Schedule:
- Monday – 2:00 PM - 10:00PM
- Tuesday – Off
- Wednesday – 2:00 PM - 10:00PM
- Thursday – 2:00 PM - 10:00PM
- Friday – 2:00 PM - 10:00PM
- Saturday - Off
- Sunday - 2:00 PM - 10:00PM
Core Roles and Responsibilities as follows:
General Operations Management
Employee will be responsible for overseeing the dispatching of drivers and making necessary changes to their dispatch if the need arises. Cover dispatching as needed.
Customer Service
Employee will be responsible for maintaining a positive ongoing customer service relationship through safety, management, employee meetings, and daily customer interactions and/or meetings. Employee will need to ensure TCI is meeting or exceeding our customers’ performance targets.
Scheduling
Employee will be responsible for ensuring scheduled employees report to work for their designated shift and assigned duties.
DOT Compliance
Employee must ensure that every driver has the necessary DOT hours to perform their job functions and duties for the day.
Lead Safety Support at Domiciled Location
Employee will work closely with the Dedicated Operations Manager and the Safety Dept. to assist with monthly safety challenges and ensure the terminal safety corner is updated.
Hours of Service Compliance
Employee will be responsible for the administration of driver hours of service (HOS) compliance within the company e-Log system software and hours of service audits. The employee’s primary responsibility in regard to HOS compliance will be log auditing. Employee will be responsible for notifying their manager of any log discrepancies. Employee will work with their manager, the Safety Dept., and the Human Recourses (HR) Dept. as needed to accomplish these tasks and to maintain compliance.
Essential Skills
Strong administration skills. Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office. A high level of business ethics and confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal and customer facing skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The flexibility and willingness to learn. The ability to work as part of a team. The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
