Brokerage Administrator
Position Overview
The Brokerage Administrator will be responsible for assigned Brokerage day-to-day functions in a dynamic, and fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for the customer billing, carrier invoice processing, payment processing, cash receipts posting and collections of customer accounts receivable. The Brokerage Administrator will ensure that all carrier invoices, vendor bills and cash payments are booked and allocated correctly with sufficient evidence in compliance with our internal controls. This role will ensure work is completed accurately, and compliant with accounting regulations and company policies and procedures.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform and understand all customer billing functions: BOL/POD auditing, batching, entering, posting.
- Perform and understand all carrier settlement functions: CIP (Carrier invoice processing), BOL/POD auditing, OS&D identification, carrier inquiries.
- Perform and understand all accounts receivable functions: Cash receipts posting, collections of AR, customer inquiries.
- Perform and understand all accounts payable functions: matching, batching, coding, entering, posting, reconciling vendor statements including research and discrepancies corrections.
- Perform and understand the preparation of payments via check, ACH, wires, Quick Pays, and driver advances.
- Participate in shared email boxes such as AP, Carrier, AR and ensure timely processing and responses to internal and external inquiries.
- Participate in process improvement and create/maintain workflow efficiencies.
- Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are clearly defined, updated, and documented
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of previous relevant experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail with efficiency
- Ability to develop a cadence of daily workflow to ensure tasks and responsibilities are met.
- Resolve issues, serve as a resource in troubleshooting complex matters, and ensure that problems are resolved or escalated accordingly.
- Professional ethics with the ability to always respect and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to manage competing priorities with deadlines, without sacrificing quality.
Compensation:
Starting at $23.00 hourly
